Which file do I use?
| Instagram post | Any button marked Instagram post. It is the tall rectangle Instagram likes best. A Square works too. |
|---|---|
| Instagram Story or Reel | The button marked Tall, for Stories and Reels. The reels and moving logos are silent, so add your music in the app. |
| Facebook post | A Square or Full size picture. Facebook is not fussy. |
| X (Twitter) post | A Square or Full size picture. For a moving one, use the Video button, not the GIF. |
| Substack note | A Square picture, or a Square moving logo. Short and sharp. |
| Substack article picture | A Full size picture from Sprayed on things or Already made for you. They sit best at the top of an article. |
| Substack settings (logo, wordmark, cover, email banner) | Go to Profile pictures and headers. Each file is named for the slot Substack asks for, so match the names and you cannot go wrong. |
| Profile pictures everywhere | The Wolf head, LL0B0 or Bahoooo squares in Profile pictures and headers. One picture, every platform, so people know it is you. |
| A printer, a T-shirt or a mug | Send them the SVG from Logos. An SVG is a drawing file, not a photo, so it stays sharp at any size, from a badge to a banner. If they ask for a PNG instead, send the Big one. The wolf head is a picture, not a drawing, so for the wolf send the Big file. |
| An email | The GIF from Animated logos. A GIF is a little moving picture that plays inside emails without anyone pressing play. Keep it small, which this one is. |
| A Word document | The Big logo for light backgrounds from Logos. It has a see-through background, so it sits cleanly on the page. |

A few simple rules
- Never stretch or squash a logo. If it needs to be smaller or bigger, drag from a corner, never from a side.
- LL0B0 is always written with zeros, never the letter O. Two L, zero, B, zero.
- The £, $ and € in your words are red and a touch smaller than the letters around them, as in the book. Leave them that way.
- The title is Ascent of the Louse. There is no The at the front.
- On a dark picture use the version marked For dark backgrounds. On a light picture use For light backgrounds. The red one works on either.
- The sprayed pictures, moving logos and reels are silent on purpose. Add your own music when you post.
